Dr Geoff Bellingan
Dr. Geoff Bellingan is Divisional Clinical Director for Emergency Services at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) and Reader in Intensive Care at UCL. He is UK representative on the ESICM council and is a member of the Critical Care Committee for the Royal College of Physicians. His research interests are MRSA and its transmission and also the resolution of inflammation, having studied macrophage clearance then fibrosis in ARDS for his PhD and MRC clinician scientist fellowships respectively. He is lead for the Anaesthesia and Critical Care research theme at UCLH.

Dr Mary Newton is a Consultant Neuroanaesthetist at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London, UK and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Neurology. She is the clinical lead for the acute pain team and has a special interest in interventional neuroradiology and complex spinal surgery.

Dr. Alex Dewhurst is a Consultant Anaesthetist at St George's Hospital London. His specialist interests are Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Intensive Care.

 

 
 

Ms. Sandra Fairley is a registered nurse with a graduate diploma in Clinical Neuroscience.   She has worked in several neuroscience units in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London.   She started working at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in 1992.   She is now the Clinical Nurse Specialist in Neurocritical Care with responsibility for clinical practice in both the neurosurgical and neuromedical units.


 
 

Ms. Joanne Bennetts
Jo Bennetts qualified as a registered general nurse in New Zealand 1995. She worked in various specialties before traveling to London in 2000 where she began her career in Neurocritical care on the Surgical Intensive Care unit at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Apart from 18months working in Phase 1 clinical drug trials she has remained at the NHNN, joining the Neurocritical Care Outreach team in late 2007.
Jo now leads the Neurocritical Care Outreach service at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
