Dr Mary Newton is a Consultant Neuroanaesthetist at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), Queen Square, London. It is a specialist hospital and part of UCL Hospitals.

Her special interests include acute pain management of neurosurgical patients, anaesthesia for major spinal surgery and interventional neuroradiology.

She has contributed numerous chapters and articles in each of these specialist areas and is actively involved in auditing her clinical practice. She has led the acute pain team at NHNN since 1997 and lectured widely on the management of acute pain in neurosurgical patients.
